Days 1-3 / July 14-16 / Quito & Cloud Forest

Part 1: Arrival & Mountain Ecosystems

Day 1: Arrival in Quito

  • Arrive in Ecuador’s capital city

Day 2: Quito City Tour & Equator Experience

  • Explore historic Old Town Quito (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
  • Visit the Middle of the World Monument
  • Learn about Ecuadorian culture and geography

Day 3: Cloud Forest Conservation

  • Travel to Mindo Cloud Forest
  • Participate in reforestation project
  •  learn about endemic bird species
  • explore canopy walkways
  • Overnight in eco-lodge
Days 4-6 / July 17-19/ Amazon Rainforest Immersion

Part 2: Rainforest Conservation & Community

Day 4: Amazon Rainforest Journey Begins

  • Travel to Amazon Basin
  • Begin rainforest immersion with local indigenous guides
  • Learn about medicinal plants and sustainable forest practices.

Day 5: Amazon River Exploration

  • Canoe expedition on Amazon tributaries
  • Wildlife observation including pink river dolphins, caimans, and exotic birds
  • Night walk to experience nocturnal rainforest.

Day 6: Community Connection & Conservation Work

  • Work alongside Afro-Ecuadorian communities on conservation initiatives
  • Learn traditional sustainable practices and cultural exchange activities.
    Days 7-9 / July 20-22 /Amazon Research & Andes

    Part 3: Field Research & Mountain Trekking

    Day 7: Wildlife Research & Data Collection

    • Assist biologists with wildlife monitoring and data collection
    •  Set up camera traps and learn field research techniques.
    • Evening reflection session.

    Day 8: Andean Highlands & Volcanic Landscapes

    • Travel to highland region
    • Trek volcanic terrain, learn about unique highland ecosystems.
    • Visit local markets and experience Andean culture.

    Day 9: Summit Hike & Mountain Conservation

    • Guided trek to volcanic summit
    •  Learn about high-altitude adaptation and glacier conservation
    • Afternoon relaxation at natural hot springs.
    Days 10-12 /July 23-25 / Galápagos Islands Experience

    Part 4: Marine Conservation & Wildlife

    Day 10: Flight to Galápagos Islands

    • Fly to the legendary Galápagos
    • Arrive at Santa Cruz Island
    • Visit Charles Darwin Research Station and learn about ongoing conservation efforts.

    Day 11: Marine Conservation & Snorkeling

    • Snorkel with sea lions, marine iguanas, and sea turtles
    • Beach cleanup initiative
    •  Learn about marine ecosystem protection and invasive species management.

    Day 12: Island Hopping & Wildlife Encounters

    • Visit another Galápagos island
    • Observe giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, and frigate birds
    • Participate in habitat restoration project.
    Days 13-15 /July 26-28 / Final Days & Departure

    Part 5: Reflection & Return

    Day 13: Final Conservation Project & Reflection

    • Complete final conservation activity.
    • Group presentations on trip learnings and action plans for home communities
    • Farewell beach bonfire.

    Day 14: Return Journey

    • Fly back to Quito
    • Final group reflection, certificate ceremony recognizing conservation contributions
    • Prepare for departure

    Day 15: Departure

    • Transfer to airport for international flights home
    • Carry forward your commitment to environmental stewardship
